No one cares?

According to a written ministerial statement published by DEFRA, the 'Thames Tunnel continues to offer (by far) the lowest cost solution to the problem'. Money is the important thing, as it seems to be in any other walks of life nowadays. The 'market forces' are the ones that determine the decisions made by our politicians/ government. The rest is just irrelevant, apparently.

On the other hand, and talking to friends, colleagues at work, family and relatives, it seems that recycling our own waste is the least of anyone's worries, even though we are contaminating our local environment with it on an ever increasing rate, and making it dangerous on public health grounds. Is this worth fighting for it, or this is just talking shit?
